Home Decor
I love unusual things. The key is to not have too many unusual things in the one room. Here are some key pieces I love at the moment.

Mummy Guilt!
So all my readers will understand that I am a very busy working mum. All mum's are busy I think, whether they work full time or not. I think as soon as you become a parent, automatically there leaves little time for anything else.
One thing that I don't have time for is exercise. I can already hear Michelle Bridges screaming at me saying I need to make time - even if it means getting up at 5am to do it. My reply to her would be, if I don't get to sleep until 2am after being up all day and night with a little toddler then there is absolutely no chance that I will be up pounding the pavement at 5am.
We all lack sleep, all lack personal space and time and then of course we call carry a heavy load of mummy guilt as well. For me that is the biggest thing. Because I work full time, I should be spending my free time home hanging out with my boy and his best pals, Buzz and Woody - not outside running! Am I right?
Well, it has occured to me that 30 mins out running 3-4 times a week is actually not such a bad thing. It gives daddy a good chance to bond and play as well as giving mummy a little space and a chance to become a little healthier.
So for the past 2 weeks I have been running about 3 times per week - and guess what? My beautiful son doesn't seem to mind.
I am currently training for a 5km fun run. It is called The Age Run Melbourne and I am running and raising money for a local charity called Anglicare Victoria - the Victoria's largest foster care agency.
So with this goal in mind I plan to be pounding the pavement weekly until July 21st and I hope by then I can run the whole 5km track.
Do you have mummy guilt? Does it ever go away?

Birthday Cake
Today is my mother in-laws birthday and tomorrow night we are all heading out for dinner to this wonderful place. I am in charge of the cake - a job I love, as usually I can whip up something wonderful in my kitchen. But my kitchen is still not finished. It has been 4 weeks and I am still waiting on my oven.
So I am purchasing a little cake for the occasion. When researching I found these delectable pieces that I would like to attempt, once I have my oven - I just need a special occasion.

Have you heard of Melbourne Illustrator Megan Hess?
If you haven't, then I am sure you would recognise her illustrations. Working for clients such as Tiffany & Co, Hermes, Chanel and Vogue just to name a few, her illustrations are so beautiful and timeless.
Visit her website for more information. If you want to buy some prints, head to Lamington Drive - the only place to purchase her creative pieces.
Here is a taste of her work.

Fashion Friday
I am really in love with all the new nail trends that are out lately. I particularly love the new black matte french tip nails. I think it is perfect for winter and would also look fantastic on toes.
Does anyone know a salon in Melbourne that does this?

I love books and one day would love to have a beautiful library. Maybe I can have a few fancy bookends to keep everything together?
